Go Saints!
My two silly Saints fans (Emma was napping). They're smiling because they don't know to be upset about a losing team this year. My other Saints fan (daddy) is off pouting somewhere. Its going to be a long season. :)

Back to School
Yes, we're still alive. Just seems like we've been living life in the fast lane. I've been trying to slow things down, but it just isn't happening!
It happened. My baby boy started kindergarten. My stomach was in knots about it. I worried. Its what I do. Have I prepared him enough for the big bad world that is out there? Does he know right from wrong? Did I teach him to be kind to everyone? Does he know stranger danger?
I have to take a deep breath and believe that I have done everything I can to prepare my sweet baby. He is in another person's hands for the majority of the day now. Even though it breaks my heart into a million pieces not to have him home with me, I am beyond proud of him. He is a smart, confident, kind, well rounded boy who I know is going to succeed beyond my wildest dreams.
That is not to say that I didn't cry like a baby the first day I dropped him off---who am I kidding, I still tear up almost an entire month later! He loves school, though. Loves his teacher, loves his friends, and loves learning.
So, between driving both the older kidlets to school and volunteering at N's school, life has been busy. It seems like the days are long, but full. My house is quiet and empty--just Ellie and I a lot of the time. Its an adjustment that we are all trying to get used to.
I miss all my babies in my house with me.

And then there is this little lovely goof ball. I love her to pieces. She is my silly girl, my girl who is full of spunk. My middle child who loves life.
She started her second year of Mother's Day Out and is loving every minute of it. She only goes two days a week, but that is enough for both of us.
She was so happy her first day. She has a lot of the same friends in her class and is actually staying one afternoon a week, too! She loves bringing her lunch to school this year!

Ellie's 11 Month Old Post
My little happy baby is 11 months old and once again, I simply cannot believe it. No way, no how. But, these last 11 months have been wonderful. Ellie truly has found her place in our family of 5. She is my little jokester, my little rebel, yet she is also my sweetheart and my cuddle bug.
Ellie loves her big bubba and her sissy. She loves to play with them, to aggravate them; she loves to make them laugh and worries about them when they cry; she loves to chase them and wants everything they have. In other words, she fits right in with them!
This month Ellie has decided that she is officially done with baby food. She wants whatever we are eating and whatever we are drinking. She will accept no other. In fact, she has sort of boycotted spoons all together, believing everything on a spoon is somehow baby food.
She has started saying ma ma, and saying it a lot. The way she says it is so cute, I love it! She is also saying "og" for dog and says it all the time. She is obsessed with dogs, from real ones to ones in books.
She is not doing well with her glasses and will not wear them. The minute I put them on, she pulls them right off. There is no distracting her and I'm not sure what to do about it. After her surgery in July she won't need them anymore. So, we just need to get through one more month.
She truly is my happy baby, usually full of smiles. She is getting better and better about going to other people finally! Garett has actually been able to hold her recently, which is a huge relief. I can actually do a few things with two hands again. I sort of forgot what that was like!
She is cruising all over and will be walking soon I just know it! She has too many things to do to crawl for much longer!
She loves swinging, playing in Emma's pink kitchen, her cow jack in the box, any dog, playing peek a boo, our neighbor Jax, and popsicles.
Happy 11 months baby girl! I love you to the moon and back!

Ellie is 10 Months!
Like most of her monthly posts, this one is late! My baby is already 11 months, but I wanted to make sure I write down what she did each month so that I don't forget!
Ellie is crawling all over the place this month and she is into EVERYTHING! The kids have to be so careful with their toys because she will find them and she will put them in her mouth. It is a game to her. She knows she is going to get caught and she lives for the thrill. She'll find something, get a huge smile on her face, and slowly bring it to her mouth. When I say, "Ellie, no!" she laughs and throws it. Ahhh, this child...
Another favorite game of her's is to get into Ellie's dollhouse and make a big earthquake. In other words, she shakes it until Emma is screaming and all the furniture is on the ground. She think this is hilarious! Do you see a pattern here? I have a mischevious little baby! And I love it!
She's still very attached to me. She will not let another soul hold her. While it is hard and sometimes I swear my arm is going to fall off, I am soaking it all in. My baby is going to be a year soon and it is just killing me. I want them to stay little forever.
She's babbling like crazy, although she hasn't said a word yet. I'm just hoping her first word is mama! She loves to mimic. Emma will scream and then she will scream, Emma will scream and then she will scream and they will both go into giggling fits. Its pretty darn cute!
Her favorite toy is our little Cow Jumping Over the Moon Jack in the Box. She lives for that! She's figured out what she needs to do to get it open, but just can't make the circular motion with it yet. Still, that cow popping out gets her everytime!
Love you to the moon and back baby!

I don't get enough pictures of this spunky little one. Santa brought her a bike and she loves to ride that thing around the cul de sac. She is really good at it and can ride pretty darn fast. I love watching her little legs go! I stopped her during one of her circles and she flashed me a smile long enough to shoot this picture, and then she was on her way. The girl is never still!
Glasses
I don't think I've shared too many pictures of El in her glasses. She is doing okay with them and will leave them on if I can keep her busy. But, she always pulls them off after about half an hour. Then they have to stay off for a bit, or she will fight me about them. :( It breaks my heart that she is having to go throught his. I wish beyond all wishes that she didn't. I wish her eyes were perfect. I wish she never had to worry about them. I wish a lot of things. But, this is something that we are going to have to deal with, and something we are going to have to work with.
She sure does look cute in them, though!

Army Man
Nathan is getting to the age where he loves to play in his room by himself. Don't get me wrong, he still wants us in there playing legos, superheroes, or whatever else most of the time. But, with two sisters in the house, he escapes to his room often.
One of the things he loves to play most is dress up. The boy's dress up clothes outnumber my regular clothes, I think! So, one day, I walked in and he was in his army hat playing with his army men. He had them all lined up and ready to battle. On the other side that I didn't get a picture of, were the bad guys, lined up also. It was one of the cutest things. This kids' imagination is so wonderful and full. I hope it stays that way forever.

El is 9 Months!
This year is flying by, and man is it flying by fast! I am trying to soak up every little second with this munchkin because I know this is the last 9 month old that I'll have.
Ellie started full on crawling this month and she is fast! She loves chasing after the kids and getting into whatever they are playing with. She takes joy in making them squeal and aggrevating them. It is pretty hilarious. She gets this smile on her face as the bangs all the furniture in Emma's dollhouse and Emma is screaming. She actually laughs. That's my girl!
She loves being outside and watching the kids play. We play outside with the other kids on the cul de sac almost every night and you can just tell that she can't wait until she is right in the middle of it. She watches them, studies them.
I really do think that Ellie is my happiest baby yet, as long as I am either holding her or right next to her. She hardly every cries, unless someone tries to hold her. She can play for a while with her toys and has figured out how to work them all. She loves to bounce to the music and has started tilting her head back and forth. It is so cute!
She is cruising around like crazy on the furniture, so I am pretty sure walking isn't too far behind. After all, she has to catch up to her big bubba and sissy!
Ellie loves to gives kisses, the big open mouth kisses that leave a bucket full of slobber on the side of my face. She gives me a big wet one then sits back, very proud of herself, waiting for her round of applause. We have to clap after the kisses. Not sure where she got that from!
I love you to the moon and back, baby girl. Please stop growing up so fast!

Western Day
They had Western Day at the school a couple of weeks ago and Emma looked so cute all dressed up! I had to take a few snaps of her. Nathan's western day was the next day and I must have forgotten to take pictures of him.
Anyway, here is my pink cowgirl...

Swinging With Grandma
This picture cracks me up. Remember when I said Ellie doesn't let anyone else hold her? Here is the proof. We threw a little first birthday party for my cousin's baby and my mom wanted me to take a couple pictures of him. I needed two hands to do that. The second Ellie left my arms, she began crying. I was literally done taking pictures in five minutes and ran over to her to take this picture. She's not wailing here, but she's very upset. If you click on the picture you can see it better.
Anyway, I love this picture because Emma is beyond thrilled and Ellie is the opposite. Emma would swing on this swing all day if we let her

8 Months Old
Please just go ahead and pretend like I posted this a month ago. I'm late, as usual with going through my pictures and posting. Three kids keep me pretty busy!
So, my baby is 8 months old. That year mark keeps getting closer and closer and my heart breaks a bit more. I love seeing how my babies grow up, but how how I wish I could just bottle them up as babies.
This month has been a hard one. We found out Ellie has Infantile Esotropia, which I keep telling myself is not the end of the world. You just hate to hear that something is "wrong" with your baby. She is wearing a patch for an hour a day and the dr wants her in glasses all day--which I might add is pretty difficult with a 8 month old. She does look very cute in them, though, and we bought Emma's favorite color--pink! We will go back in May to decide on surgery. :(
Ellie is seriously such a happy baby. She still doesn't let anyone else hold her AT ALL. People think I am exagerating when I say that, but I swear I'm not! Garett can't even hold her, not for a second. I am trying to soak it all up because I know that there will be one day that she won't want me to hold her, hopefully that won't be for many, many years, though!
She is a pro at sitting up and and at army crawling. She hasn't quite mastered the up on all 4's thing yet, but she can army crawl anywhere she wants and very fast! It is cute to watch. With mobility comes to other very frustrated kiddos. She can now get into all of their toys and boy does she!
We started her on Puffs, Yogurt bites, and Crunchies this month. She thinks they are delicious! She's great at her little pincher grasp and always wants to have something in her fingers during meal time. The girl loves her Crunchies!
The weather has been beautiful and so we have been spending a lot of time outside. Ellie LOVES being outside. We spend hours outside every evening and she eats it up. Our neighbor has a little boy that is two months younger that Ellie and they just chill on a blanket watching their brothers and sisters. She also loves to swing. At first she was pretty unsure, but then she realized how fun it is and hates to get out.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...
It's that time of year again and we couldn't be more excited! Nathan's first T ball game was Saturday and he did so good. This is his third year to play and most of the team has stayed together. He's had the same coach and assistant coach for all three years. They are both just really great with the kids. This year, two of the boys in N's class are plaing with him, so he is loving it!
Yesterday, he started out in the pitching position and it was just so cute. So many of the balls were hit his way and everytime he'd catch it and throw it to first, his smile would go ear to ear. He'd look over to us and give us a huge thumbs up. I love this kid so much!

Ellie's Eyes
So, the number one reason that I keep this blog is to document my kids' lives. Its my little online scrapbook and one of the main ways that I remember things. I can look back and see the first time N pottied in the big boy potty, the first time Emma stood, the first Ellie sat up...
I document all the good, but I have to document the bad too. So I can remember. Now, is this horrible in the grand scheme of things? No. I am very, very lucky to have three very healthy children. I KNOW this. But, it is still painful to hear that something is "off" with your child.
Since birth, Ellie's right eye has sort of drifted inwards. It's not all the time, but it is a lot of the time. I mentioned it to her pedi at her 4 month appt and she wasn't too concerned. When we went into her 6 month appt, it is the first thing she noticed. So, she gave me the name of an opthamologist and I set up an appt.
Today was that appt. I was not crazy about him, and I'm not sure if it was his bad news, or the way he delivered it. He told me she has Infantile Estrophia, which is basically where an eye crosses. In order to fix it, she has to have surgery--before the age of 1. Just the thought of my little baby having surgery is enough to bring me to tears. He did stress that her eyes are strong and that their is no vision loss at all. She does not need glasses.
Of course, if you know anything about me, you know my first thought was to get a second opinion. So, I reached out to all the moms around me and found a doctor who is one of the best in Houston. He is able to see Ellie Bean on Monday.
In the meantime, the first doctor said she needed to wear a patch for a few hours every other day for two weeks. He put it on right there in the office. It didn'y bother her a bit! Ellie was such a little rockstar during the whole appointment, even when the dilated her eyes.
Here's my little babe sporting her newest, every other day for a few hours, accessory.

7 Months!
Baby girl is 7 months old already! Ellie is such a happy baby. She gives the biggest, gummiest, dimplest smiles in the world--as long as she is in my arms. I think I have said that every month, but it really is true.
Boy oh boy does she want to be in on the action though! She watches Nathan and Emma like a hawk, turning her head quickly if she loses sight of them. She's soaking it all in, and I keep telling them that when sshe is mobile they had better watch out!
She's a great eater and I think has tried every flavor of baby food now. It is so funny though because she grabs the spoon with every bite, eats the food off, then lets go whrn it is empty and waits patiently for the next spoonful. Emma and Nathan used to grab the spoon, but then never let go!
She can sit up now without toppling over and is beginning to scoot a bit to reach for things. I think crawling may be in the near future!
Love you to the moon and back baby girl!

Christmas Program
The kids had their annual Christmas program that their little pre k puts on back in December. These are always so much fun to go to because the kids up on stage are just so darn cute! There are always a couple of hams that steal the show.
Of course, I think, my two were the best ones up there!
Emma's class sung Jingle Bells and Jesus Loves Me. Emma was seriously the only one who sang all the words. She is my little perfectionist! Love her to pieces. She wanted her hair fixed like Princess Lea. I sort of told a fib and told her it looked just like Lea's. She went straight to her teacher and asked her how she liked her Princess Lea hair.
Nathan's class did a Bible verse and then sang Baby Jesus is Born, a pretty rock and rollish song. It was hilarious! Loved it!

My little Ellie Bean
Lisa needed a model for some headbands an etsy seller gave her, so I volunteered Ellie in heartbeat! I'll take as many cute pics of my little Ellie Bean as I can!
I can't get enough of her squishy little cheeks and that precious deep dimple. It really is funny how much she looks like Nathan AND Emma! She has Nathan's coloring and dimple, yet she has Emma's face. Love that about her!
Thanks Lisa!
