Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Its official. Nathan is almost done with his first season of T ball and he HAD A BLAST! It was so much fun to watch my little man learn how to play a team sport. Heck, it was so much fun watching ALL the kids play! Imagine 12 three year olds running after the ball, tackling each other to get it, running to the wrong base, running after the ball they just hit. It was so hilarious!

But, I am so proud of my little man. He did a great job and I think we may have a future slugger in the family!

My dad laughing at something one of the kids did. That little E sure does love him! She also loves to go to N's games. I have a feeling, she will be out there one day playing, too.

Plus, how neat is it that N is on the Astros???

Wildflowers

I took the kids out last weekend and found a field of wildflowers. I've only gone through a few of them, but this one of Emma is my favorite so far. She is such a little free spirit, so full of love and spunk. I think I fall in love with her more and more every single day, if that is even possible.

I did catch some good ones of Nathan, too, but I will save those for another post. And don't worry, we found a field of bluebonnets, too!

Short Answers

I asked these questions to my favorite little boy this afternoon. I love looking back on his answers!

1. What is your favorite movie to watch?
All of them, but I like Monsters Inc the best.

2. What do you like to do on a beautiful day?
Go on an adventure.

3. When you grow up, what do you want to be?
A pilot, that means airplanes.

4. What kind of person do you want to be friends with?
Nicholas, he shares and doesn't hurt Emma.

5. If you could paint your room one color, what would it be?
Mm, green with black spots.

Today has been such a beautiful day that we have spent most of it outside. We had to come in because Little Miss needed a nap.

Life Lately

Our blog has been neglected lately, but with good reason! We moved into our new house about three weeks ago and I have been busy busy unpacking and organizing. I still have so much more to do, but I guess it will come in time. I have two little munchkins who keep me busy pretty much most of the day! Unpacking can wait when I have a knight who needs to save me from dragons! (don't know why the picture did that, but I am too lazy to reupload it off of my other computer--I'll do it later because I really do love that picture)

Or a beautiful princess who must play outside.

Another thing that has been keeping me occupied is that Lisa and I have been growing our photography business rather quickly! We usually have a shoot each weekend and even have a wedding coming up in a few weeks! Eek! Its super exciting! I absolutely love staying home with my kids, but it is nice to get out every once in a while for some me time and to do something that makes me feel good. I love taking pictures, and it let's me be creative and meet people I wouldn't normally meet (sort of like the couple we met today). Our website is www.simplyblissphotography.com if you want to check us out! Feel free to leave some blog love there!

My little 16 month old...

Is a girl that laughs from the belly at the simplest of things, does nothing halfway and nothing quietly, is cautious of strangers, wears her heart on her sleeve, whose eyes twinkle with mischief, and whowants nothing more than to be her big brother's best friend. She is a girl that lights up a room with a single grin, but can also clear it when she gets mad.

I wouldn't mind if she stayed that little girl for a little longer.

Crockpot Tacos

This recipe is also known as Crack Chicken, because it is so addictive! I have fixed this two weeks in a row and am in LOVE with it. Not to mention, it is so easy to make (which is a plus since my little E is such a handful!)

3 or 4 chicken breasts
about a cup of fresh pico de gallo (HEB has this in the veggie section. I use the whole thing)
1/4 cup of olive oil
1/4 cup of water
1 packet of taco seasoning mix

Pour your taco seasoning mix in the bottom of the crockpot. Place your chicken directly on top. Pour your pico de gallo over your chicken and then add the oil and water. Do not mix it up, though! Then, cook on low for 4-6 hours. Once it is cooked, shred your chicken and let it simmer in the crockpot for about 15-20 minutes longer.

I serve this with fresh tortillas, cheese, and Spanish rice. It is really good fresh, but is even better the next day for lunch!

Hope you enjoy it!

Also, if you are the praying type, my family could really use some prayers right now. I will fill everyone in tomorrow when we have more news--hopefully good news.
